I DEDICATE THIS INTRO TO OUR MOTHERS @ FATHERS FOR WHOM WITHOUT THEM WE COULDN'T HAVE LEARNED FROM THERE WISE KNOWLEDGE OF GARDENING:
i hope to see this pass onward to our kids @grand kids for generations to come to keep what was instilled in us a tradition to come in a part of survival and family memories :
when we would have bare feet in mountain piles of manure
go to the dessert mountains get rock for building, making the cement and foundation
digging footers and trenches for walls or sprinkler system or simple little drip hose lines to resemble snakes .Digging 7x7 wholes for pine trees and climbing to the top to water so as the dessert heat wouldn't burn them .and planting pines naming each of them after the kids for my mom.they also had plenty fruit trees .These are just a few things they taught us as chores along with other lessons in life. only back then we thought of them as chores until we grew to realize they were lessons and memories to keep dear to our hearts special lessons in life we take for granted .
THANK YOU MOM-DAD for teaching me these lessons , i use them today and think about you thousand miles away .
First we had zucchini and then cucumbers and jalapenos , then we went on vacation to Kentucky (another blog story i will share ) anyways when we got back , we had more surprises awaiting our arrival for some exciting harvesting in our garden . It has been raining for 3 days now (which is ok with me less i have to do lol takes 2 hours to water everything ) and everything has doubled in size .
Unfortunately some of our bell peppers along with a few other plants got hit with i think is eighther moles or chipmunks (pesky varmints) but a few survived ,we will next year re-arrange our planting strategy.
I hope you enjoy the pic. i have to share here of our fruits of labor sorta speak , it is def. worth the task and will always enjoy every year learning new crops to plant.
